This Yastik rug was handwoven in Turkey during the second quarter of the 20th century.
It features a latch-hooked purplish pink field which offers a pleasing contrast with the pistachio center and cornices. Chocolate, ivory and creamsicle provide lively accents. The whole is framed by a border of tightly interlocking "z" shapes that alternate in each featured tone.
In good condition. Medium pile with a floppy handle. There is one area of wear where the foundation is exposed (as pictured). There is some end loss, folk repairs to the sides, but all sides have been reinforced for longevity.
