This Malayer rug was handwoven during the second quarter of the 20th century in Western Iran.
This rug features a wild cityscape in blues, green, yellow, gold, ivory, and faded pinkish-red. Tall polychrome buildings with wonky windows and doors are full of personality while various trees and flowers float above the city in a psychedelic manner almost as if they were caught in a tornado or lifted off the ground by a gravitational force.
In very condition, with some areas of wear and light color run. The pile is medium, with a hefty handle.
