This Art Deco rug was handwoven in Tietsin, China during the second quarter of the 20th century.
This monochromatic overdyed Deco rug features a bright magenta field. The design is open and is composed of large bunches of colorful flowers. A very subtle flowering branch with a lantern motif is silhouetted in shades of purple.
In good condition, with signs of wear to the foundation accentuated by the overdye. Sturdy and structurally sound. Pile is medium height, soft and plush, with a dense and heavy handle.
