This Serab runner was woven in western Iran in the second quarter of the 20th century.
It features a medallion filled with latticework and four serrated leaves around a central rosette. Comfortably spaced throughout the field and border with a sandy camel ground that lends the perfect backdrop for vibrant greens, blues, reds, pinks, mauve, and orange. The whole is framed by a thin undyed band of camel wool then finished with a final red stripe of pile and selvedge along the sides.
