This Yourk rug was woven in Eastern Anatolia during the middle of the 20th Century.

It features three wonky concentric diamonds each contained within a different color ground and flanked by a strip of pattern repeat on the bottom and five distinct strips of pattern repeat up top. The subtle assymetry gives its personality The whole is framed by a main border of bright polychrome stars on a copper ground. 

In very good condition for its age, some fold wear near the central diamond (as pictured). It features a loose but heavy handle of plush wool.
