This Serab runner was woven in western Iran in the middle of the 20th century.
It features a soft camel ground that is vast and open both in the field and around the perimeter. Large and small devices alternate over the open ground and are framed by two simple borders. A limited palette of calming tones of dark brown, soft pink, and celadon accentuate the natural camel tones for which these rugs are famed.
In very good condition, with some light wear and old repairs properly completed. One small rust stain is lightly visible (as pictured). Medium pile with some heft, a good option for a high traffic area.
