The whole is framed by flowering vine main border and two swirling ribbon minor borders.

This Turkish rug is woven in western Anatolia during the second quarter of the 20th Century.

This rug is in a prayer rug format and features a red ground mihrab with six flowering trees or shrub-like motifs. The mihrab is surrounded by a navy ground showcasing a variety of vegetation and protection symbols including two more shrub-like motifs found in the mihrab. Atop the contrasting red and navy grounds accents have been added in pleasing tones of green pink, yellow, chocolate, and ivory. The whole is framed by flowering vine main border and two swirling ribbon minor borders. 

In excellent condition in a low but full pile with little to almost no signs of wear.
