This Mahal rug was handwoven during the second quarter of the 20th century in Western Iran.
This rug features a central medallion and four cornices rendered in a lovely coral tone on a blue field of scrolling vines with palmettesin blues, red, seafoam, and gold. The main border is composed of scrolling vine work on a soft crimson ground. The wear to the foundation adds a little edge to the ornate patterning.
In good condition with visible wear throughout but structurally sound and all edges reinforced.
