This Joshegan rug was woven in Central Iran during the mid 20th century.
It features a central lozenge medallion and four cornices in navy that sharply contrast against the red field and white accents. The field is decorated with a variety of flowering shrubs in a tile like patttern in classic Joshegan style. Bright pops of orange, yellow and green add pops of life and visual interest.
In good condition with wear across the field (as pictured). Pile is low, with a softer handle.
