This rug was hand woven in Afghanistan by the Baluch, during the second quarter of the 20th century. 

The design is composed of a hexagonal latticework.  Abstract flowering shrubs fill the hexagons in shades of orange and brown, with pops of fuchsia. The border features interlocking 's' forms in reds, browns, blacks with more pops of fuchsia. 

In very good condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Pile is low, with a sturdy handle. Original kilim ends still intact.
