Art Deco rug, handwoven in Tientsin, China during the second quarter of the 20th century.
This stunning Deco rug features a truly unique light purple field. The design is open and borderless and is composed of large-scale floral motifs like sprays, vines, and tendrils growing from vases at either end of the rug. Notice the stippling and color variation, beautifully rendered by the weaver. The accenting palette is composed of greens, pinks, and golden yellows.
In very good condition, with minimal signs of wear. Pile is medium height, soft and plush, with a dense and heavy handle.
