The Khotan Oasis lies near the Takla Makan Desert of Northwest China and was an important center of rug production throughout the centuries. This Khotan rug is from the second quarter of the 20th century, and features orangey-pink peach tones and soft grey-browns. The slightly-off-center medallion is framed by small flowers in concentric borders. This is a plush pile rug in excellent condition, with little to no signs of wear.
