This Baluch rug was handwoven at the Afghan/Iran border during the early 20th century.
It is woven in a simple and straightforward palette of deep reddish-brown, navy, beige, and ivory. It is composed of a field of latch hooked squares on the diagonal surrounded by a border of 8 pointed stars.
In fair condition, with significant wear throughout. No holes and the edges have been reinforced. The pile is low, with a light handle.
