This Kuba cloth was crafted in the Congo during the 20th century.
It was woven of raffia palm fibers using a cut pile technique giving it a velvet-like appearance. This cloth was made in a grid pattern of diamonds each half dyed black and half un-dyed raffia.
In very good condition, will make a very modern and textural wall-hanging.
