This Navajo rug was handwoven in the southwest United States during the second quarter of the 20th century.

It features vibrant sunburst patterns in browns, reds, and ivory on a mottled gray background. The grey background was achieved by spinning different colors of undyed wool together. Simple brown and ivory borders frame the simple and elegant jagged diamond motif. 

In good condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Some loose edging on one corner and a very small hole. Flatwoven, with a soft handle.
