This Antique Kurdish Bidjar Runner features a field filled with offset rows of plump, polychrome botehs on a dark navy ground. The field is framed by a main border of scrolling vine work with alternating blossoms in attractive shades of red, blue, and yellow against a soft brown ground. It is flanked by two minor borders with a variation of the same pattern but less precise, on a smaller scale and in a perfectly contrasting ivory ground.

 This Bidjar runner was woven by Kurds at the turn of the 20th century.

It features a field filled with offset rows of plump, polychrome botehs on a dark navy ground. The field is framed by a main border of scrolling vine work with alternating blossoms in attractive shades of red, blue, and yellow against a soft brown ground. It very good condition, Durable with some heft to the handle. Consistent pile with even wear throughout.
