This Afghan rug was woven during the third quarter of the 20th century in Northern Afghanistan.

It features a traditional Tekke gül design with both burnt and bright orange, ivory, and green accents on a soft multi-shade aubergine ground. A precursor to the "Bokhara" rugs that would be woven by Afghan refugees in Pakistan at the end of the 20th century.

In very good condition, with minimal signs of wear. Medium pile with a fluffy handle that has some weight. Great for a high-traffic area.
