This Sarouk was handwoven in Western Iran during the second quarter of the 20th century.
This rug features a curvilinear floral design on a soft raspberry red field. The floral work is intricate and an excellent example of the type of floral sprays Sarouk rugs are known for. It features a central focal point that blends into the pattern without dominating the composition. The main border features a palmette and blossom design on a navy ground. This classically patterned rug should last for generations to come.
Very good condition, worn to the foundation in some areas in a couple of small sections.
