This Gabbeh rug was handwoven in Southern Iran during the late 20th century.
It features a central red diamond flanked by two pale green diamonds on a vast field of undyed wool in cream with brown striations. The diamonds are outlined in orange and brown giving them a little extra glow. Each diamond is of a slightly different scale and distinctive in its wonkiness and gives the appearance of shapes stacked atop one another.
In very good condition with a full pile and some minor color run near the fringe.
