This round rug was handwoven in India during the middle of the 20th century.
It features a simple color palette of ivory, sage, gold, and a rich blue/green. A solid central circle is encapsulated by the second circle of wavy lanes and a final circle of petal-like ornamentation. The rug has a very mod/swinging 60s feel with a design reminiscent of a psychedelic sun or giant rosette. Finished with a fringe surrounding the whole perimeter.
