This Tibetan rug was woven at the turn of the 21st century by Tibetan weavers in Nepal for Tufenkian.
It features an open field of various palmettes on a spacious grid framed by a border of scrolling palmettes on a similar scale. The whole composition is rendered in a simple yet uncommon palette of black, ivory, copper, gray, and brown.
In very good condition. Densely woven with a meaty pile and a floppy handle. One small pink stain is barely visible.
