This Moroccan-styled rug was woven during the 21st century in Afghanistan.
It features an idiosyncratic pattern alternating between abstracted diamonds, vegetation, and thin smoke-like lines. An uncommon palette of chocolate, crimson and canary yellow on an undyed field of variegated ivory and browns. Woven of hearty, hand-spun Afghan wool giving it durability and extra heft not commonly found in the Moroccan weaving usually associated with this patterning.
In excellent condition, with no signs of wear. Pile is thick, with a soft handle.
