Silk masterpiece was handwoven during the late 20th century at the Mohammedi atelier in Qum, Iran. Vank Cathedral was established in 1606 following the forced relocation of nearly 500,000 Armenians to Isfahan by Shah Abbas during the Persian-Ottoman war. cacophony of colors. Mount Ararat (Մասիս) resting place of Noah's Ark. Woven by Mohammedi of Qum for Vank Church of Isfahan. Mohammedi is a renowned master weaver.

This silk jajim was handwoven in Northwest Iran by the Shahsavan during the middle of the 19th century.  This type of weaving was utilized as a bedding cover by nomads or in a village setting. This piece features rich, deeply saturated tones in bands of red, blue, yellow, green, ivory and brown. Woven in silk more finely than other we have handled or encountered. A collector's piece with exceptional dyes and materiality that is all about COLOR.  impactful piece

This Heriz rug was handwoven in Northwest Iran during the middle of the 20th century.  This classic Heriz features a geometric central medallion on a faded red ground. The four ivory cornices brighten the composition and the aubergine border adds something a little different .   In good condition, with visible wear throughout which gives the rug an edgy feel.

Heriz rug handwoven in Northwest Iran.  Features a geometric central medallion and rich saturated tones . A brick-red field is complemented by the deep navy, french blue, yellow, and coral tones with brown and ivory accents. The four french blue cornices invigorate the rug and a wonderful undulating abrash adds layers to the composition. It is framed by a navy main border of polychrome palmettes. In a desirable size that is more squarish than usual.

This Bidjar rug was handwoven during the early 20th century (1925-1950) in Northwest Iran.  It features an all-over design of polychrome forms reminiscent of cypress trees in various reds, blues, yellows and pinks on a deep navy ground. Each tree form is filled with a trio of botehs at its center. Framed by a rich red main border that is flanked by energetic turquoise minor borders that pull turquoise accents from the field and invigorate the whole composition.

All over designs are less common on Heriz rugs which most often feature large central medallions. The main border is composed of a rosette and outstretched arm palmette border on a surmah ground.

Antique roomsize Heriz rug featuring a geometric central medallion on a madder red ground. The design of the more boxy medallion throughout completely changes the composition giving this piece a unique feel. Soft pinks and gold work well with jewel-toned blues and greens that really sing. Framed by a main border of rosettes and serrated leaves, the border pattern breaks near the bottom edge on both sides where the weaver filled the space with various small rosettes like a patch of wildflowers.
