This antique Yazd rug was handwoven in central Iran during the end of the 19th century.
It features an intricate curvilinear central medallion on a scalloped maroon field. With a well-balanced palette of cool blues, rosy pinks, and sandy beiges with gold, green, and navy. Framed by a thin more geometric border. Considerably worn into the underlying white cotton foundation. Foundation has been reinforced but not woven over to maintain its worn-in look and heavenly appearance in a structurally sound manner.
In good condition, with even wear throughout. The foundation has been completely reinforced and is structurally sound.
