This silk rug was handwoven during the early 20th century in the Turkish city of Hereke.

It features a field of three cartouches filled with tight geometric rosettes. The silk pile accentuates exquisite tones of lilac, moss, and apricot contrast, with brilliant red, lively indigo, and soft ivory. The very precise and dense weave makes this rug exceptionally fine.

In very good condition, with minor wear along the edges.
