Contemporary Bidjar kilim from Northwest Iran, woven in the 21st Century.
This rug features a geometric design radiating out from the central diamond column. Within each diamond is a rooster, a calice flower, or a tree. The colors utilized are light blue, yellow, peach, red, tan, and black. The tan skirt border has an inscription on the bottom which reads: "Kilim Mosheri P" - the weaver's signature and the style of rug. It's unclear what the number represents, perhaps some kind of date or production number.
In excellent condition, with no signs of wear. Flatwoven, with a stiff handle. Original fringe ends still intact.
