Regular price $475.00 Sale

This Karagashli rug was handwoven in the Eastern Caucasus during the second quarter of the 20th century.

This rug features a stunning sky-blue field, and the main design is composed of a central row of large-scale blossoms or rosettes and stylized birds, woven in red. On either side are two columns featuring eight-pointed stars and geometric shapes reminiscent of a vase with branches and leaves. The borders are multicolored, with the main border sporting a serrated leaf and calyx design, while the minor borders showcase rosettes in a rainbow of colors on a golden yellow ground.

In good condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Some areas where the cotton warp has come through the pile. Flat pile, with a solid handle.
