In this Yomud variation, there is wonderful addition of a compartment of three large dyrnak-type guls to the skirt as well.

This Turkmen rug was handwoven during the second quarter of the 20th century in Central Asia.

It features a classic hatchli design in the center of the piece, surrounded by a single outer border of serrated rosettes which shifts to three rows in the lower skirt border. In this Yomud variation, there is wonderful addition of a compartment of three large dyrnak-type guls to the skirt as well. These rugs were classically used as a door cover or entrance to a yurt. You can find beautiful tones of soft aubergine, navy, ivory, pops of yellow, and glowing reddish orange throughout the rug.  

In very good condition. Minimal wear with minor end border loss which has been reinforced for longevity
