Antique Kurdish Khorjin saddlebag with bag face is low and dense pile, with a flatwoven back in a multicolor striped pattern. The closure is composed of red and blue slit tapestry on the front. The bag-faces feature the traditional Kurdish diagonal design in a rainbow of colors, and two borders. The inner border has a laleh abbasi design while the outer border has a multicolored star design. The variety and depth of color are typical of Kurdish weavings.

This double saddlebag or "khorjin" was handwoven by Kurds during the first quarter of the 20th century.

In good condition, signs of wear are consistent with age.
