This Lavar Kerman rug was handwoven during the third quarter of the 19th century. 

It is composed of an elaborate curvilinear floral design, with a central medallion. Scalloped cornices frame the central design. The main border continues with the elaborate floral theme, with single blossoms around a trellis. The minor borders are variations on the flower vine design. The color palette is composed of stunning blues, pinks, and reds with soft camels and creams. 

In good condition, signs of wear are consistent with age. Low pile, with a sturdy handle. Very finely woven.
