This playful rug features an idyllic scene of a black locomotive pulling into a station. The station is shown in the foreground with a small village behind it in a lush, hilly landscape. Speckled yarn is used in the station's roof as well as the landscape behind adding some layers while the smoke billowing over the incoming train and the shadow to the left of the station add movement and life to the composition. It has a calm and appealing color palate which has nicely patinated over time.
