This Sarouk rug in western Iran during the 1920s. It features an elaborate design of floral sprays on a stunning dark blue field, with lovely abrash throughout. The main border has a coral red background in contrast with the main field, and a design of palmettes and leaves traditional of Sarouk rugs. In excellent condition, with little to no signs of wear. Pile is low and densely woven, with a sturdy handle.
