This rag rug was woven in the United States during the early 20th century. It is flat woven in multiple strips of fabric that were sewn together in blocks. The thin vertical lines of white, red, yellow and blue starkly contrast with broad black stripes generating a striking visual. As with all rag rugs, there is repurposed clothing fabric woven through the entire piece, giving an all over muted softness.
In great condition considering its age with no holes or tears and light even wear.
