Antique Bidjar Rug- 8'5 x 11'5

Regular price $2,785.00 Sale

This Bidjar rug was handwoven during the second quarter of the 20th century in Western Iran.  It features a open red field with a lovely soft abrash and a central medallion with a Herati design on a deep indigo blue field. Multiple borders of varying widths and designs frame the center with soft greens, pinks and ivories adding detail to the pattern. It is in very good condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Small stain on the red field is pictured. The pile is low and densely woven, and very hardwearing, making this a perfect rug for high traffic areas.
