This early Heriz rug was handwoven during the early twentieth century in Northwest Iran. It features a gorgeous brick ground centered on a rosette with two blossoming flowers growing from it’s base in shades of blue, pink and ivory. All encapsulates by a navy border with large alternating rosettes and serrated leaves. Has one wonky edge which showcases it’s the small batch village production. Some small patches to reinforce previous weaker areas. Wear is consistent with age.
