This Heriz rug was handwoven during the early 20th century in northwest Iran. It features a strong geometric design in brick red, gold and multiple shades of blue. A large main rosette and seated leaf border frames a large central medallion flanked by two large teardrop medallions. In good condition, with some wear (pictured) consistent with age. Pile is low and densely woven, making this rug perfect for a high traffic area.
