Antique NW Persian Karaja runner fragment

Antique Karaja Fragment - 1'9 x 5'1

Regular price $250.00 Sale

Small Karaja rug handwoven in NW Persia during the second quarter of the 20th century.

The design is composed of five classic medallions in green, white, pink, blue, and orange on a worn red field. The border is composed of a geometric floral meander and features a powerful orange which magnifies the orange usage in the field. Both end borders have been removed giving the rug a never-ending feel.

In good condition, with traffic patterns throughout the field. Both ends have been reduced and secured by removing the borders. Low pile, with a sturdy handle.
