This Khamseh tribal rug was handwoven during the second quarter of the twentieth century (1925-1950) in Southwest Iran. Three ivory lozenge style medallions really pop atop a beautiful purple ground. A field of small geometric flowers are sprinkled throughout the void between the lozenges and a fresh ivory border that helps to unify the piece. In excellent condition, wear is consistent with age.
