Heriz rug from Northwest Iran, handwoven during the second quarter of the 20th century.
This classic Heriz features a geometric central medallion on a rich red ground. The red is completed by deep navy, french blue and ivory tones with brass and coral accents. The four cornices mirror the design from the medallion in a different color combination. The main border features an alternating rosette and serrated leaf design.
In excellent condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Low pile with a sturdy handle.
