This Qash'qai rug was woven in the early 20th century in Southwest Iran. This rug has a cool color palette that has been muted over time with nice even wear. The field is comprised of three lozenges with birds and flowers inside and out. Surrounding the field is a series of borders almost like walls protecting the beauty inside. A multicolored skirt border finishes the ends. Both ends have been reinforced. In good condition considering its age - as pictured, both front and back of rug.
