This Senneh kilim was woven by Kurds in Western Iran during the second quarter of the 20th century.
Woven as wagireh or sampler rug, it features many different design elements that could be combined to create multiple variations of a larger rug. Suggested color combinations, medallion, field, and borders are highlighted in a small sample size. Classic senneh style in the uncommon sampler format.
Flatwoven with a cotton foundation, with an airy handle. In very good condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Some light color run in the oranges and red. (as pictured)
