Isfahan rug handwoven in Central Iran during the first quarter of the 20th century.
This stunning rug is composed of a tree of life design, incredibly curvilinear and floral. It is extremely ornate and very finely woven. The color palette features deep blues and purples, and the whole is on a soft beige ground the lifts and softens the whole design, while keeping it from looking busy and overwhelming.
In fair condition, with wear throughout. Pile is low, with a soft handle. Would work equally as well as a floor covering or as a wall hanging. Holes have been repaired and edges reinforced to prolong longevity.
