This sofreh kilim was handwoven in South Iran during the middle of the 20th century.
A sofreh is a rug used for eating and typically has a square shape. This particular sofreh features a central medallion composed of one large diamond and four smaller diamonds atop a camel field. A chocolate border zig-zags around the camel and both sections are filled with geometric diamond-shaped rosettes in different combinations of green, red, and ivory.
In good condition, some color in the red dye.
