This Kurdish kilim was woven in Western Iran during the middle of 20th century.
It is composed of a stepped-diamond pattern in light and dark browns, ivory, red, yellow, and soft pink. The pattern has moments of distortion which add interest. The border is composed of alternating diamonds in the same tones and creates a zigzag.
In very good condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Flatwoven, with a sturdy handle. Excellent rug for high traffic areas.
