This Bakhtiari rug was woven in southern Iran during the second quarter of the 20th century.  

It is composed in a garden design with interlocking polygons. Bold blues and reds are paired with soft ivories and browns. It is framed by a bright ivory border of alternating rosettes and serrated leaves.

In very good condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Pile is low and densely woven. The handle is very sturdy, making it perfect for a high-traffic area.
