This geometric and colorful Lori kilim was handwoven during the second quarter of the 20th century in South Iran.
The design consists of concentric diamond shapes in yellows, blues, browns, and whites on a red field. The simplicity of the design is enriched by the lovely abrash throughout, the subtle color changes adding to the visual interest of the rug.
In good condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Flat-woven, with a sturdy handle, made to last several lifetimes. Visible folds are only temporary.
