This Hamadan rug was handwoven in western Iran during the second quarter of the 20th century. The field prominently features three large medallions and eight rosettes. The stylized flower bouquets of the main border are a pleasing contrast to the more graphic shapes in the field. Bold reds, deep blues and browns, are interspersed with yellow, ivory and green. In fair condition, with some wear throughout (pictured). Edges have been reinforced for longevity.
