This Kurdish rug handwoven during the first quarter of the 20th century in Northwest Iran.
It features a bold geometric design of serrated diamonds and hooked polygons on a deep brown field. The wide main border is a vibrant red and composed of scrolling polychrome rosettes.
In very good condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Pile is low and densely woven, making this rug very hardy and a good fit for high traffic areas.
