This Meshed was woven in Eastern Iran during the second quarter of the 20th century.
It features an ornate floral firework of a central medallion with four overflowing vase cornices and various small floral sprays on an expansive sandy ground. The pattern is rendered in a soft palette of indigo, seafoam, lilac, hickory, and ivory. Framed by an intricate border of palmettes on the same soft sand ground. Elegant yet unpretentious.
In very good condition with some visible wear to the face (as pictured) but structurally sound with a couple of small holes.
