This Serab rug was handwoven during the middle of the 20th century in western Iran. It features two elongated lozenge medallions with a muted madder center atop an ivory field. Flowers appear in the ivory and almost feel as though they have grown from the border. A different grouping of animals appears in each lozenge. Wear is consistent with age.
